Project Vidyagraha initiative bolsters secondary education and digital learning for government school students. Implemented in 7 government schools in Jharsuguda, the project aims to enhance students' performance in Math, English, and Science during board exams. Vedanta offers doubt clearance sessions in schools and nearby villages, along with career counselling and life skills development, to improve students' prospects for higher education and career post-10th Board Examinations. Key objectives include improving students’ board exam grades, enhancing teachers’ skills, guiding students in higher education and career choices, and promoting employee volunteering for community development.

This programme aims at providing quality English-medium education to children from poor and displaced families in DAV Public School, Jharsuguda. More than 200 children from poor and displaced families have benefitted under this initiative.

More than 700 students got access to basic computer knowledge through centers at the peripheral villages and schools.

Covered more than 1200 students across 5 schools to enhance learning aptitude of students in science and mathematics in more effective and interesting way through models and IEC material.

Providing primary doorstep healthcare services through MHU to 16,000+ people annually across 28 villages, 2 special schools & 1 old age home. Generating health awareness through MHU on World Health Day, MDD, World Diabetic Day etc to 26,500+ people in the community through live sessions and IEC leaflet distribution.

Partnered up with the District Health Department as part of ending tuberculosis by 2025 strategy of by distributing 700+ nutritional food kits and providing counselling to the identified TB patients. Cured 100+ patients.

Dedicated 2 diagnostic centres in Jharsuguda and Laikera to the community with cutting-edge facilities for radiology and pathology tests, including MRI and CT scan. The centre is provided health care services to entire Jharsuguda District and nearby Districts. The services is being provided on very affordable rate that is on CGHS rate (Central Govt Health Scheme).

Drinking water support to Jharsuguda municipality in 11 wards in 16 locations benefiting approximately 1.90 L people.

Renovated and restored 61 community ponds in two blocks of Jharsuguda District.

The project aims to enhance the economic prosperity and living standards of farming households across three villages in Jharsuguda district through sustainable agriculture and climate-smart practices. Key interventions include renovating and constructing water harvesting structure & irrigation infrastructure, promoting advanced farming methods like SRI paddy cultivation, trellis system and supporting organic farming and focusing on climate smart agriculture practices.

Providing football training to 68 children of core & periphery villages in association with nationally recognized academy, Ardor Football Academy.

Project “Kalakriti” is an entrepreneurial CSR initiative to empower women and promote local art, culture and handicraft and provide a sustainable means of livelihood opportunities. Project Kalakriti is set to transform 21 villages over the next one year by reviving artforms including Pattachitra, Saura Art, Terracotta, Applique work, Bamboo and cane craft.

Vedanta Limited, Jharsuguda, recognizing the need for skill development among local youth, launched Project Sakshyam. This initiative enhances skill and creates livelihood opportunities in peripheral villages near the plant by providing training on HMV/LMV, mechatronics, electrical engineering, AC refrigeration, and vertical transportation. Partnering with the Society for Govt. of Odisha - Ashok Leyland and World Skill Centre (WSC), the project aims to bridge the skill gap and empower youth for workforce contribution. Project Sakshyam seeks to boost the local economy by equipping rural youth with essential employment skills, positively impacting the region's socio-economic landscape.

Subhalaxmi Cooperative is dedicated to uplifting underprivileged women by providing sustainable livelihood opportunities. It is the largest women’s cooperative in Western Odisha with over 4700 women in 434 SHGs. The cooperative provides microfinance services supporting business worth INR 1.29 Cr to 865 members in FY'24 (INR 39.36 Cr to 19,660 members till date). 1500+ rural women micro-entrepreneurs have been developed in various sectors such as farming, tailoring, agriculture, etc. Additionally, it has developed a cadre of 15 elected Board of Directors.

Saukhyam is a low-cost sanitary napkin manufacturing unit inaugurated in September, 2023 in presence of ARCS, Jharsuguda. The unit also promotes adoption of safe health and hygiene practices for the rural women of Jharsuguda. It provides necessary support to women on training for capacity building and establish a sustainable business model. The unit has produced more than 4400 packets of sanitary napkins with each packet containing 8 pieces of biodegradable napkins.
